Bunion Gel Sleeves, skin and grey pair - padding where it rubs

Bunion Gel Sleeves (1 Pair)

€16,50

For a bunion that rubs against every shoe. A soft gel pad sits over the joint, so the shoe presses on gel, not on the bone.

  • Bunion sore where the shoe rubs? A soft gel pad sits between the joint and the shoe.
  • Big toe crowding the others? It sits in its own loop, so it doesn't lean onto the second toe while you wear it.
  • Need something for home and for out? Thin stretch fabric that fits in shoes with room at the front.

Care
Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild soap and let it air-dry flat. No tumble dryer and no radiator: heat can damage the gel.

Good to know

The gel sleeve is not a treatment and doesn't change the shape of a bunion. If you have diabetes, numbness in your feet, poor circulation, broken skin over the joint or a foot condition under treatment, ask your doctor first. Take it off if it pinches, hurts or your toes tingle.

Why it hurts

Your bunion takes the hit, every step.

Most shoes are narrowest exactly where a bunion sticks out. With every step, the side of the shoe presses and rubs on the joint. After a few hours the skin over it is red and sore, and every shoe you own seems to find the same spot.

Where
On the side of the big-toe joint, where the shoe presses.
When
After hours in shoes that get narrow at the front.
Why
Nothing sits between the joint and the shoe.
Sizing up?
It only makes your heel slip, and breaking shoes in doesn't stop the rubbing.

How the sleeve works

A soft buffer, exactly where it hurts.

01Gel pad over the jointThe shoe presses on soft gel instead of straight on the bunion.
02Loop around the big toeThe big toe sits in its own loop, so it doesn't crowd onto the second toe while you wear the sleeve.
03Thin stretch sleeveIt hugs the front of the foot and a strap holds it at the heel, so the pad stays on the joint without a band digging in.
04Two sizes, two coloursS for EU 33–38 and L for EU 39–46, in skin or grey.

The moment you notice it

The shoe touches gel, not the bone.

Put the sleeve on in the morning and slip into your shoes. Where the side of the shoe used to rub on the joint, there is now a soft layer in between. Wear it around the house after a long day, or out in shoes that leave room at the front.

The shoe touches gel, not the bone.

When to wear it

At home, out and about, on the sore days.

01At home

After a long day, slip it on and give the joint a soft cover while you rest.

02On the sore days

When the bunion is already tender, the gel keeps the shoe off it.

03In shoes with room at the front

The gel adds a little thickness at the joint, so wear it in shoes with space there, like a wide toe box.

Works best with

Gel softens the pressure. The right shoe takes it away.

The sleeve cushions the joint against the shoe. A shoe that is widest at the toes stops pressing on it in the first place. Ogni Vie leaves room around the joint, with no seams on it.

What people ask before they order

Which size do I need?

Go by your EU shoe size: S fits 33–38, L fits 39–46. Not sure? Email us your shoe size before you order and we'll help you choose.

Can I wear it in my shoes?

Yes, in shoes with room at the front. The gel adds a little thickness over the joint, so a narrow shoe will feel tighter with it. A shoe that is widest at the toes, like Ogni Vie, leaves space for it.

Does it help with bunion pain?

It puts a soft gel layer between the joint and the shoe, so the shoe presses on gel instead of straight on the bunion. It doesn't change the shape of the joint, and it doesn't replace advice from your doctor or podiatrist.

What does the toe loop do?

Your big toe goes through it, so the big toe sits in its own space and doesn't lean onto the second toe while you wear the sleeve. It also keeps the gel pad in place over the joint.

Is it one sleeve or two?

Two. One pair is one sleeve for each foot.

Skin or grey?

Same sleeve, same gel pad, same fit. Only the colour is different.

How do I wash it?

Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild soap and let it air-dry flat. Keep it away from the tumble dryer and the radiator: heat can damage the gel.
